Max

Pics coming soon!  Max is a  2/3yr old German Shepard that loves to work! Max has been with us since March! Max was E-Listed at county and Renee of Paws 4 a Cause AZ contacted us and asked if we would help. None of the staff at county would handle Max, so Renee had to go get him herself. When Max first arrived he growled and nipped if you touched his sides. After working with Max for a few weeks I had a conversation with Renee, "I think this dog was started in Protection/Schutzen."  Renee brought over another trainer who specializes in K9 Protection and he confirmed my suspision. Problem is they were too rough with him and pushed him too hard, too fast.  So he wont be able to do that type of work :(  Through the months that Max has been with us he has become an amazing dog! He loves to work he is finally playing with me, but he needs and experienced handler.  Max is an extremely confident dog, loves to work and work hard! He is learning how to play with dogs, does well with my pack. Walks great on leash, prong and Ecollar Trained. Kennel trained, knows sit, down, come and Place. We believe Max's ideal adopter would be a retired veteran  or cop with K9 experience. Max is available for adoption through Paws 4 a Cause AZ.

Puck

Pics coming soon! Puck is a 2yr old Shepard mix who has been with us since April. Puck was adopted as a puppy from Tuba City Humane Society. The adopters did puppy classes at the big box store but over time they started having more and more problems with him. He started resource guarding and they were afraid to walk him. They decided after a year and a half to return him to TCHS who contacted us. We have worked with TCHS many times before and help them rehabilitate dogs and find them forever homes.  When Puck first arrived I tried everything to get him to resource guard, with no luck. Then I had him out playing with my pack and he tried to guard the water, I corrected him and he has been great since. Puck’s biggest problem was under socialization. Puck now walks amazing on leash, knows all his commands and is a super playful boy. Puck still has some mild fear issues but with a confident and patient owner he will thrive. Because of his fear he does not do well with kids under 9. He would prefer an active family with a yard. Please let us know if Puck is the perfect forever friend for you.
